Good news! I am launching a new system of updating and presenting fresh news, every week - and more! Every week, perhaps sometimes more, I will add some piece of fresh news to read on the forestquest.org homepage. You never know what you'll find: links to articles, a fascinating word, new stories, Forest Quest members, even an interview of a writer! Yesterday evening the idea for this new system, Weekly+, came to me. I have been trying to make Forest Quest a better, more beneficial service that would involve the members and encourage everyone to communicate and write. However, coming short of a successful way to achieve this goal, (besides considering another method which I shall set about to start as well - wait to find out soon!) I realized I could update the homepage with short, current pieces of news. Hopefully, I thought, this would encourage people to regularly visit the website. So, in an effort to bring regulars to the website and giving you more for your money, I present to you the new Forest Quest Weekly+Plus: Fresh News Every Week, and More. What a wonderful time to make plans to better the coming days - and how easy to not do them! I challange you, not only in the area of writing, but in all the facets of life, to exceed what man says is possible! We never have to be defeated - there is always victory awaiting! Thank you writers for all your kind commitment to Forest Quest. A writing group without writers doesn't work, and I am glad that you have so many talents! Thank you for making Forest Quest possible. May this season of Jesus Christ's birth inspire your hearts to praise. Every letter of a story, stroke of the brush, word of encouragement, or note of music can be praise unto God. It is wonderful, simply wonderful. So do not be discouraged about your writings, poems, songs, or other forms of art as being unacceptable to God. Indeed, they well may be, but that is not my point. My point is this: art is not bad, and it can be used for what is right. Do not believe the lie that good beauty is death. I hope this makes sense, and may you have a wonderful, snowy Christmas with your family and dear friends! Even those people you never imagined you would dine with, the lost and outcast of society... Here is my page on the NaNoWriMo website. Not Done Yet! In all these happy moments I am still not yet finished with this novel: there is more to be written on this story! It is not yet done! I know that some of you are very interested in reading my unfinished novel - it is my first really long written story I have gotten this, after all - but I shall refrain from sending you the novel. Why? Why? As ambitious as it sounds, I wish to get it published someday, and do not want it to be stolen by any internet surfer who might want it before it gets published. Being "stolen" as in the ideas being stolen and the story being finished and published under another author's name. So, with all that being said, I shall endeavor in the coming days to send around some excerpts from the story and may even post some excerpts online at www.forestquest.org. But for now, Christmas, the celebration of Jesus' birth, is coming around the corner swiftly and I have yet to make many gifts. Thank you for your pataince, and I recommend and hope you will join me with NaNoWriMo next November, ready to write your first novel! Once more, praise the Lord, and all glory to Him forever.
